Throughout the year we employ........
Our CEO, Ian Foster
Ian is the founder of the South Auckland Christian Foodbank from its inception in 2008. The Foodbank has grown to be a credible and sustainable organisation with a strong desire to not only meet immediate need but help families become financially self-sufficient.
He is married with 3 adult children and they attend The Upper Room Church in Newmarket, his interests include boating and motor racing.
Chairman, Richard King
Richard is the Chair of the board. He is married with three children. He grew up and still resides in South Auckland so has a good understanding of the challenges faced by these communities. He is Deputy Chair on the Elim School Board.
For work, he manages business transformation projects and has implemented supporting IT platforms across a variety of industries.
Nina Steveson
Nina is married with teenage children. She has been a volunteer and board member for the SACFB for over 12 years, Nina also assists in sourcing food donations for the foodbank and helps with special needs for our families that have other specific needs. Prior to being a Mum she graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce. Nina is now self-employed, Her passion and business experience further adds to the expertise of our board.
Our Staff & Volunteers:
SACFB has 7 full time staff and a wonderful group of volunteers. Our volunteers do a range of tasks including helping at the Foodbank, Community Dinner and our Community Garden.
Lynette Burton
​Lynette is married with 3 adult children. Lynette attends Clevedon Presbyterian Church where she is a Parish Council member, an Elder, and a Presbytery Elder. She is employed full-time by the Clevedon Presbyterian Church as the Family Ministries Team Leader, operating support programs for families with preschool children. Lynette is also a trustee of the Clevedon Community Trust which among other things, operates a family centre and a toy library.
